Julia K. Quinn

Julia K. Quinn

Rocklin, California

Julia Quinn attended Saint Mary's College of California where she graduated with honors. Although Julia always knew she wanted to be an attorney, Julia chose to spend a year volunteering in Southeast Asia before attending law school.

Julia went on to attend the University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, she realized she wanted to practice exclusively family law. She was drawn to the personal aspects of family law and recognized that unlike other areas of law, family law has long term effects on people's day to day lives.

Julia worked as a law clerk for Bay Area Legal Aid's family law unit. At Bay Area Legal Aid, Julia was mentored by multiple award winning family law specialists. She also began litigating cases as certified family law student.

After graduating from law school, Julia returned to Bay Area Legal Aid where she continued to litigate family law cases involving domestic violence issues. Julia was also able to make case law on the standing to request domestic violence restraining orders in the case of Gou v. Xiao.

Julia went on to open her own family law practice where she litigated cases involving every aspect of family law including child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, jurisdiction, and domestic violence. Julia has wound down her own private practice in order to join the firm of Miller & Associates where she splits her time between the firm's Rocklin and Walnut Creek offices.

Julia understands that it is often the most difficult time in a person's life when they are undergoing family law proceeding. Julia prides herself on being able to provide her clients with both compassion and relentless advocacy.

Julia Quinn is a member of the Contra Costa Bar Association's Family Law Section, Alameda Bar Association, and San Francisco Bar Association's Family Law Section. Julia is also a member of Queen's Bench.
