Jessica Hopper is an experienced litigator with over ten years in practice as an attorney. Ms. Hopper earned her juris doctorate from Western Michigan Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where she received "book awards" for top overall performance in advanced legal writing, family law, and secured transactions. Ms. Hopper graduated law school with high honors.
Following law school, Ms. Hopper started her legal career in Hamilton County, Indiana as a prosecuting attorney. While at the prosecutor's office, Ms. Hopper litigated a variety of criminal misdemeanor and major felony cases including driving offenses, thefts crimes, domestic violence crimes, sex crimes, and child abuse crimes.
In 2011, Ms. Hopper shifted her professional focus from prosecutor to family law mediation and advocacy where she has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of domestic relations including dissolution, separation, paternity, custody, support, property division, and domestic violence issues. Ms. Hopper is a multi-generational attorney and carries a deep respect for the profession and takes pride in her advocacy for clients. As a former public servant and prosecuting trial attorney, Ms. Hopper enjoys working with public employees involved in domestic relations issues.
Ms. Hopper is admitted to practice in the courts of California and Indiana. In 2014, Ms. Hopper became a member of the bar of the United States Supreme Court, holding the honor of being personally sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts.
Ms. Hopper is a former NCAA athlete who enjoys physical fitness, travel and spending time with her family.
