Biography

Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Ms. Monder earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Arizona, Tucson. Passionate about helping people and the law, she went on to earn a Juris Doctorate with a concentration in mediation from Thomas Jefferson School of Law (TJSL).

While in law school, Ms. Monder interned at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and was a student mediator at various courthouses throughout San Diego where she facilitated communications between litigants in attempt to informally settle disputes. In addition, she traveled to Argentina as part of DePaul University College of Law’s International Law Program, was a part of TJSL’s Alternative Dispute Resolution team, and was chosen to be the ABA Representative Competitor at the Mediation Competition at Pepperdine (2011).

Following admission to the California State Bar in 2013, Ms. Monder initially began working in Sacramento focusing on employment related matters. In addition, she assisted litigants in small claims actions and represented both landlords and tenants in unlawful detainer proceedings. Ms. Monder has always had a strong interest in family law and before joining Miller & Associates, Attorneys LLP in September 2019 she focused on assisting victims of domestic violence and elder abuse at the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center. Here she supervised legal interns, consulted with pro se litigants about various family law related matters, and helped litigants prepare their legal forms which included domestic violence restraining orders and elder abuse restraining orders.

When Ms. Monder is not practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, visiting farmers’ markets, traveling and trying new restaurants.
