California readers may have heard that Google co-founder Sergey Brin and his estranged spouse Anne Wojcicki have quietly divorced following an eight-year marriage. The divorce was finalized by a Santa Clara County court in May.
Brin and Wojcicki, who have two children together, separated in 2013. It was reportedly Brin’s affair with another Google employee that led to the split, though media reports said that relationship has since ended. Brin is said to now be dating the founder of ClearAccessIP, a patent technology company. The couple recently attended a Jamaican wedding together. Wojcicki has also been romantically linked to others since her separation with Brin. However, the pair live near each other in Los Altos and have been raising their children together.
Brin and Wojcicki had a prenuptial agreement, and the former couple settled for an undisclosed amount of money, which means Google will likely not be affected by the divorce. Brin’s net worth is said to be around $30 billion. Meanwhile, Wojcicki raised more than $110 million for her startup human genome company. Google is one of the startup’s investors.
